Welbilt's response to COVID-19
The challenges facing the country, our families, our co-workers, and our business change on an hourly basis as related to COVID-19. The medical community and state governments monitoring the rapid spread of the virus with more counties and states releasing "shelter in place" orders for the safety of citizens and to flatten the curve on the spread of this virus.
Welbilt has been preparing for these possible orders. Shelter in place decrees have been released in states in which Welbilt facilities exist. We have determined that it is our special responsibility to the community well-being that we should continue to operate as an essential business per the Cyber-Infrastructure Security Agency ("CISA") Guidelines. Where that option is granted, Welbilt will continue to operate as normal, taking every measure possible to keep our employees safe. However, we may scale-back operations in these locations due to order cancellations, order delays, or if we feel there is a significant safety threat to our employees or the community.
To support you all, our customer service, tech support, and parts access teams do have the capability to work remotely. This is across all Welbilt brands globally. Welbilt is connected to you. We are committed to our employees, their safety, and committed to support you in these unprecedented times.
